Thank you for being the first :aww:
Only the people who are critiqued get the resulting PSD file.

:star: revamp This is Part 2 of 2 --> Part 1

You can view a 720p version by using the little gear symbol in the bottom right!

youtube Icon Author's Note:
It was fun to do a critique like this because I was able to show what I mean instead of just describing it. Plus I was able to show what could be done technique-wise which in "normal" critiques can be a pain in the ass (describing what you would do when you don't know how the one getting the critique works and how much they know and what you need to explain -- this way you just show it way faster than you could ever explain it in writing). I hope it's actually helping; it might be a bit on the rambling side ^^;

youtube Icon I hope to make this a series,
so if you are interested in a critique, please note me with three deviations of yours to choose from (so I can choose the one I have the most to say about). I cannot guarantee you will actually receive a critique and there will be no set schedule because my daily life tends to wreck any plans of doing stuff like this on a regular basis. Also please note that I will not be putting you on an ordered list (but on an unordered one) meaning I will critique what feels like a good idea instead of going by who was first. I hope you will understand that.

thank you for taking the time to view this! :love:

I love your tip with the use of wounds photos - it does work much better than trying to draw them (at least if you can't draw to save your life :giggle:). I guess the thing here is to find the "right wounds" to use, i.e. fitting to where you want to place them and looking fairly realistic (assuming they were done using fx make up)

I always look at other people's work processes  It is a great way to learn new things :)As you said there are a million ways to achieve the same thing in Photoshop :)
I would love to see your entire process from start to finish work like this in video form  it would be great ,and this form of critique is fantastic idea :clap: :hug:

Yeah the blood bit all though you might not think it, helped a shitload. I have been struggling with the lighting and colouring of it, so this is perfect. just what I needed. YOur drippel of blood didn't come out near as bad as you think it did, haha.

OH and I have one little critique for you also, I'm guessing you used the mic on your headset to record the audio part of this. Try to turn the mic away from where you are speaking, so that it's not directly in front or under you mouth. THe mic records even if you don't hold it so close to your mouth, in fact it records better if you hold it a little distance away from you mouth. YOu can see the way I do it in the episode of TVOM that I spoke about you. I have my headset around my neck and the mic the same distance away from my mouth, and it sound much better there opposed to my tutorial (the audio in my tutorial is similiar to yours here) But that's all, other than that, this was awesome!! Really very excited about this!!

Thanks again :heart:

I have to admit I haven't really had the balls to listen to myself beyond finding a good place to cut the thing in two and making sure the volume was loud enough (I was afraid I was going to start redoing this 20 times if I did). I noticed the breathing thing, though, and will definitely heed your advice for next time!
