Exertion of Influence

Justice may be blind, but that doesn't mean she can't be influenced.

Every single one of us is being influenced every day by everything around us. Sometimes it is good to stop and take a breath and really think about what we are doing and why. It is easy to blame "the media" or our facebook feed for our world view. Hearing all sides, especially if the side is not the one you are on, is not easy. But I do not think that this should be an excuse for not trying to be informed in a holistic way. And for questioning ones own motives: am I trying to reinforce my believes here and thus being very uncritical? What are the facts? Is there a video of what actually happened that I can watch? Am I willing to believe the worst or best of someone simply because I'm on his or her side?
