Artist's Comments
According to the Bible, a snake tempted Eve into into eating an apple from the Tree of Knowledge and into giving Adam some as well. For this disobedience, God expelled all humans from paradise, but the Knowlegde of Good and Evil stayed with them.
"No, you won't [die]!" the snake replied. "God understands what will happen on the day you eat fruit from that tree. You will see what you have done, and you will know the difference between right and wrong, just as God does." ~ Genesis 3:4,5  I do NOT want to start a religious discussion here! I know technically Eve should be naked or covered with fig leaves instead of cloth. Call it artistic license. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
